Why the Best Leaders Sometimes Get Mad (and Show It)

Think about remarkably successful people. They're logical. They're rational. In the face of crisis or danger or even gross incompetence, they remain steely-eyed, focused, and on point.
They don't get angry -- or at the very least they don't show their anger.
Unless they happen to be Steve Jobs. Or Jeff Bezos. Or Bill Gates. Or Larry Ellison. Or...
Most of us were taught that the only way to lead effectively is to eliminate, or at the very least swallow and hide, emotions like anger and frustration. Go professional or go home, right?
 Wrong.

7 EAGLE PRINCIPLES TO SUCCEED AS AN ENTREPRENEUR

Eagles are large, powerful, resilient, courageous, daring and ever-soaring birds of prey. They have seven principles that have made them the greatest birds. These principles are
important for success in business and entrepreneurship. These principles are as follows:

Principle One:
Eagles fly alone at high altitude and not with sparrows or other small birds. No other bird can go to the height of the eagle. Stay away from Sparrows and Ravens. Eagles fly with Eagles. As an entrepreneur or an aspirant for success in business soar high on your goals, objectives and targets even if it means soaring alone and stay away from people who will bring you down or do not fly on the same high altitude like you.

10 MAIN PRINCIPLES OF CONTENT MARKETING

Content writers and online business owners who ignore social media marketing don’t realize their full potential. It doesn’t matter whether you have previous experience or you’re just starting to discover the fundamentals of marketing; you can always find a way to achieve better results with less effort.
Here are 10 main principles of social media marketing. When you understand how they function in practice, you’ll elevate the exposure of your brand and attract more visitors to your site.

1. The Principle of Quality
It’s better to have 500 active readers who discuss your posts than to focus on building a huge base of followers who will disappear right after liking your page.

5 IDEAS FOR WRITING A USER- AND SEO-FRIENDLY BLOG POST

If you want to keep your blog readers engaged – and I’m sure you do – you should be deliberate about how you write your posts. You need to help readers find your post and also grasp the main point by using headings, subheadings and clear paragraphs.

If people understand and like your posts, they are far more likely to share, like, tweet and link to your post, which will enhance your search engine rankings.

In other words, you need to optimize your writing skills.
For some, writing user-friendly content and writing for SEO purposes could appear as two inconsistent objectives. You want to be creative, but make sure that the terms people will search for when looking for the information in your blog are present. Don’t use “Create Delicious Treats”.

10 Marketing Tips

Follow these ten easy wins for an instant marketing boost…

1. Understand your customers
Getting to know your customers is the most important stage of marketing process. The more accurate your information and knowledge, the more effective you will be at selling. Use all the information at your disposal to understand customer’s behavior, demographics, and requirements. This information should steer your major business decisions and allow you to write a marketing plan.

10 Women A Christian Man Should Avoid When Considering Marriage

“I have perceived among the youths, a young man lacking sense, passing along the street near her corner, taking the road to her house” (Proverbs 7: 7-8 )
Marriage - a lifetime covenant, an irrevocable oath recognized by GOD, man and spirits, separable only by death. With this truth in mind, a man has to be very careful and wise when considering marriage. And if you follow the counsel of GOD, HE will go before you to lead you to the right path.
NOTE: This is not a sexist post. It's only a guide for men intending to get married.
So here's the 10 women to avoid when considering marriage:

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

What if my idea won't work?

John Mullins explains why it pays to challenge your business idea before throwing time and money at it.
In the US, 64 per cent of people see the opportunity to start a business as a desirable career choice (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, 2014). But without passion, conviction and tenacity, few entrepreneurs can endure the challenges, setbacks and twists in the road. Along with these traits, the best entrepreneurs have a willingness to ask a simple question: “What if my idea won’t work?”

How to Build Billionaire Habits

By Nick Papple

Picture yourself having coffee with a billionaire. Just imagine what you'd learn. One of my friends recently had this opportunity. In fact, he had the chance to have dinner with several billionaires at the same time. One thing he noticed was every one acted the same: They gave their complete and undivided attention.

It didn’t matter who was in the room. If someone was talking, they were listening. They weren’t distracted, checking email or text messages on their cell phones.
Ten years ago, this kind of behavior might have gone unnoticed. Paying attention was good manners. Something our parents, teachers and even strangers taught us, “pay attention.”

Today, you'll discover a simple four-step formula for overcoming a short attention span. It even works for teenagers.

By Craig Ballantyne

Today marks what would have been the 272nd birthday of the 5th most popular President in History, according to the New York Times. Thomas Jefferson was a Founding Father, the primary author of the Declaration of Independence, and the 3rd President of the United States of America, holding office from 1801 to 1809. He was also a man ahead of his time when it came to his healthy habits.

Next time they say you are too expensive...

In this issue, I will be sharing 3 ways to overcome fee sensitive clients!
If you are sick of talking to fee sensitive prospective clients, you are making 1 or more of 3 common mistakes, which I am going to share with you right now — along with the solution.
Let’s get started!

A quick look at value
I want to start by looking at the way your prospective clients think about value:
• It’s always too expensive, when the price or fee is considerably greater than the value.
• It’s always great value, when the price or fee is considerably lower than the value.

To get that price / value balance right, we have 2 options:
1. We can pump more value into the product or service.
2. We can lower the price.

Michael Jordan is now officially a billionaire, according to Forbes

Somebody prep LeBron James' Mirror of Somber Introspection — as it turns out, he won't accomplish his long-since-established goal of becoming the first billionaire athlete. He's been beaten to the top of that particular mountain of cash by — who else? — Michael Jordan.

Forbes estimated back in June that Jordan, 52, had joined the ranks of the billionaires after increasing his stake in the Charlotte Hornets — the franchise in which he purchased a majority interest for $275 million in March of 2010, back when they were the Bobcats — from 80 percent to 89.5 percent.

How do you lead a team across cultural divides?

Flash Forward: Looking back on Michaelmas term

The first term seemed to just happen, in the flashes of flashes. It has been a period of both getting settled into a new home and experiencing a unique curriculum that has given me invaluable insights into the makings of great leaders and managers.

Yet it has not been until well into the winter break that I have found the opportunity to reflect on the past few months. Before any of us realized, the first term was over, and we all dispersed to the far corners of the world; whether to visit familiar faces or discover new places. So now, chugging through the Slovakian countryside, journeying by train from Prague to Budapest, I am finally able to fully realize the extent of my learning in Michaelmas term.

Doing business in Africa is challenging and rewarding

A difficult 2014 has done little to tarnish sub-Saharan Africa's appeal as a
business destination for South African companies looking to expand their businesses.
But to succeed in this challenging and rewarding environment, companies must be
willing to weather volatility and adapt the way that they do business.

That's the word from Gerhard Hartman, Head of Department at Sage HR Africa. He says
that with the IMF projecting growth in excess of 5% for the region as a whole in
2014 and 2015, sub-Saharan Africa continues to offer a range of exciting
possibilities for businesses seeking to grow into new markets.

10 Useful Ideas to make 2015 your best year ever!

Wow! We're already 19 days into 2015. This year sure means business.
It has often been said that you are never more than 1 good idea away from the breakthrough you need. With that in mind, here are 10 ideas to help you and your business in 2015.

1. Do at least one thing each day, which your future self will thank you for. This is the basis of all meaningful progress.

2. Fail more often in 2015 than you did in 2014. Why? Because if you’re not failing often enough, you’re sticking to things you already know and no longer growing. Unless you give yourself permission to make mistakes, you will seldom try anything new.
