5 IDEAS FOR WRITING A USER- AND SEO-FRIENDLY BLOG POST

If you want to keep your blog readers engaged – and I’m sure you do – you should be deliberate about how you write your posts. You need to help readers find your post and also grasp the main point by using headings, subheadings and clear paragraphs.

If people understand and like your posts, they are far more likely to share, like, tweet and link to your post, which will enhance your search engine rankings.

In other words, you need to optimize your writing skills.
For some, writing user-friendly content and writing for SEO purposes could appear as two inconsistent objectives. You want to be creative, but make sure that the terms people will search for when looking for the information in your blog are present. Don’t use “Create Delicious Treats”.

Instead use “How to Bake the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies”. Titles in blog posts are all about being clear and using the language your users enter in their browser searches.
Here are a few strategies for writing posts that are both interesting and SEO friendly.

1. Set your objective before writing
Think hard about the message you want to pass across. Exactly what is the purpose of your post? What do you desire you readers to do at the end of it? What change do you want to bring about in their lives and businesses? Jot down the responses to these questions before you start writing, review them as you write.

2. Draft a structure for your post Have a clear structure
Every post should have an introduction, a body and a conclusion. What exactly do you wish to write in each of these parts?

3. Use sub-headings and separate ideas Reading a large block of text is painful
Don’t give your readers that terrible experience. Make use of subheadings and your readers can easily read and find specific information in your post.

4. Use key words Your blog should have one strong topic
Use the words that define this topic throughout your writing.

5. Use keywords in your post heading
Headings are important for readability, but for SEO as well. See to it that your keywords are used in your post heading and subheadings.

Headings help Google understand the major topics of a post and therefore can help in your ranking. For instance, if your target keyword for a post is “Super Eagles” it would be good to use it in your post heading and if possible, make it appear early in the title.
Don’t forget to include it in the URL as well.
